EMDR

I feel like I’ve talked myself out.

Talk therapy is meaningful and wonderful; sometimes, it feels like exactly what you need. You want to talk and have someone hear you, and that’s enough.

And then, there are the other times – the times when you have talked and talked and talked and talked, and it never seems to be enough. All that talking is like the needle on the record found the right groove, and now, the record skips every time you try to play your favorite song.

Whenever specific memories creep up, it feels like the attached emotions and thoughts are so vivid and real, it’s almost like it’s happening again. Making it stop is your only goal!

Enter EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) might be your solution. When disturbing memories and feelings get stuck and replay repeatedly, it’s hard to imagine there could be relief.

But that’s where EMDR shines because it provides a means of obtaining relief.

EMDR helps you learn to access, process, and reframe those negative feelings and beliefs that you’ve developed over a lifetime.

It’s possible to live a life of positivity and joy again!

How can EMDR help you?

EMDR is no magic bullet – it’s a lot of work to get from scared and overwhelmed to the peace and joy that you desire. But it’s possible, and it’s worth the effort, even if that possibility seems super scary to you right now.

Together, we will create a targeted treatment plan that will allow your memories to heal and become just that: memory.

Your past doesn’t have to define your future.

What should you do?

Come to therapy ready to do the hard work, and we’ll jump in together.

You can do this!
