How I work.
Each conversation is tailored specifically for you, as an individual. Understanding that you are unique, and through effective communication, we will find your counseling style. Time will be taken to get to know you before asking you about problems and offering solutions.
We will look at the entire picture together, offering a holistic approach in every conversation. I understand that you are a multi-dimensional individual, and our focus will be on getting to know all aspects of you.
We often lead a very busy life, and as humans no one is free from severe life stressors. Sometimes we’ve tried everything and are just shy of our goal. Reaching out can be overwhelming. It can even feel like another life stressor. I understand. You want to find someone with whom you can connect and have the flexibility to meet you where you are within your busy life and schedule.
Rest assured… you’re already doing the hardest part.
My mission is to find ways to assist others in succeeding in life.
My mission is to find ways to assist others in succeeding in life.
My goal is to support you in overcoming the obstacles stopping you from achieving your dreams. I want to be here for you and commit to remaining flexible and equipped to greet whatever version of you comes to each and every session.
Therapy is about collaborative rediscovery and finding meaning.
Therapy with me is more like a guided conversation with accountability. Through our collaborative process, you can feel seen and safe enough to venture to the parts of you that you have buried or forgotten.
Attachment plays a large part in how we interact with the world around us and teaches us that every behavior has meaning. It doesn’t mean that every behavior is justified; just that what’s happening underneath is worth exploring. Using this type of attachment lens in our conversations will give you new insights into what’s really going on in your life. This is where trauma-specific treatments like EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and SE (Somatic Experiencing) can be most beneficial.
